Dartmoor's upland moors and heathlands are home to entirely new species, and the game introduces terrain cards — played horizontally alongside trees and shrubs — as a new habitat type. Caves provide asymmetric starting conditions drafted at the beginning of the game, giving each player a unique edge. The reduction to 6 tree symbols makes bonuses easier to trigger, keeping the game flowing at a satisfying pace.
