Marvel Champions FAQ

  • Marvel Champions is a cooperative Living Card Game (LCG) published by Fantasy Flight Games. Players choose a Marvel hero, build a deck, and work together to defeat villains across a series of scenarios. It plays 1–4 players, is suitable for ages 14+, and is one of the most popular LCGs available.

  • Start with the Marvel Champions: The Card Game Core Set, which includes five heroes (Iron Man, Spider-Man, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, She-Hulk), three villains, and everything needed to play. Once you're comfortable, expand with Hero Packs and Campaign Expansions.

  • Yes — Marvel Champions is excellent for solo play. Many heroes work well alone, and the difficulty can be adjusted to suit a single player.

  • Hero Packs (such as Deadpool, Gambit, Rogue, Storm, and many others) add a new hero with a pre-built deck and a modular encounter set. Campaign Expansions (such as Age of Apocalypse, NeXt Evolution, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) add full multi-scenario campaigns with new heroes, villains, and mechanics.

  • Yes — Hero Packs require the Core Set (or another base set) to play, as they don't include villain decks or scenario cards.

  • Spider-Man and Captain Marvel from the Core Set are widely recommended for new players. Among Hero Packs, Black Widow and Falcon are considered accessible starting points.

  • Marvel Champions: The Card Game — Civil War is a campaign expansion based on the Marvel Civil War storyline, featuring new heroes, villains, and a narrative campaign where player choices affect the outcome.

  • 1–4 players. Games typically take 45–90 minutes depending on player count and scenario difficulty.

  • If you enjoy Marvel Champions, you might also like Marvel Dice Throne or Marvel Zombies for more Marvel tabletop action. Fans of cooperative card games should also explore Arkham Horror: The Card Game, another top LCG. Browse our full Living Card Games collection for more options.

Had never heard of Life of games before but it was suggested by Shop app. What a good suggestion it was. The item arrived very well packed and in good time. The product itself is awesome and I feel was a good bargain too.
I would and have recommended already to friends.
Definitely a store to keep an eye on.
Thanks again. Will use again in the future for sure.

A great game

A great game, with short rounds, suitable for our 6 year old and even our 3 yeah old (with a bit of help). The unlock progression really helps bring in new rules and challenges, without overwhelming everyone from the very first game.

It’s not that easy finding a game that my dyslexic ADHD 10yr old son enjoys but this one ticks all his boxes! We love it!!
