Wavelength

Wavelength is a social guessing game where two teams compete to read each other's minds. One player takes on the role of the Psychic, who can see exactly where a hidden bullseye sits on a spectrum between two opposites — think Hot–Cold, Rough–Smooth, or Sad Song–Happy Song. Their job is to give a single clue that lands conceptually right where the bullseye is. Their team then debates, argues, and turns a dial to where they think the bullseye is hidden. The closer they get, the more points they score.

It sounds simple, but the magic is in the discussion. If the card is Hot–Cold and the bullseye is just to the cold side of centre, what's your clue? "Salad"? "A British summer"? The Psychic watches on in silence as their team spirals into debate — and that tension is what makes Wavelength so endlessly entertaining. It scales beautifully from 2 to 12 players and plays in under an hour, making it one of the best party games around.
