The Lord of the Rings: Fate of the Fellowship

The Lord of the Rings: Fate of the Fellowship is Matt Leacock's most mechanically ambitious Pandemic System design, built for 1–5 players. Each player controls two characters, working together to defend the havens of Middle-earth from advancing shadow troops, complete evolving objectives, and help Frodo evade the Nazgûl on his journey to Mount Doom.

With 24 different objectives, 14 events, and 13 playable characters, no two games play out the same way. Players must balance defending key locations, battling enemies, and managing the ever-present threat of Sauron's Eye — all while keeping Frodo moving. A solo mode designed by Leacock himself is included for single-player runs.
