Quoridor

Quoridor is an award-winning tactical abstract strategy game for 2–4 players built around just two actions: move your pawn or place a wall. Deceptively simple to learn, it rewards forward planning and spatial thinking — and every wall you build to block your opponent is one you might have to navigate yourself.

Race your pawn to the opposite side of the board, one square at a time. On each turn you can either move or place a fence to slow your opponent — but you can never completely block their path. The result is a tense, evolving maze that both players are building and escaping simultaneously. Beautifully made from sustainable wood, it's as handsome on the shelf as it is on the table.
