A Fake Artist Goes to NY is a drawing party game for 5–10 players where everyone is collaborating on the same picture — except one player has no idea what they're drawing and is desperately trying to bluff their way through.
The Question Master picks a secret word and writes it on dry-erase cards for all the artists — except one player receives only an “X”. They’re the Fake Artist. Players take turns adding a single continuous stroke to a shared drawing, trying to prove they know the word while the Fake Artist tries to blend in. After two rounds, everyone votes on who the imposter is. If the Fake Artist escapes detection, they win. If they’re caught but can guess the word, they still win. The artists must be convincing enough to expose the fake — without making the drawing so obvious the Fake Artist can steal the answer.
What’s good?
- Plays up to 10 — one of the best party games for larger groups
- No artistic skill required — the bluffing is the game, not the drawing
- Reusable dry-erase cards — endlessly replayable with any word you choose
- Over in 20 minutes — easy to play multiple rounds back to back
Who is it for?
- ✔ Groups of 5–10 looking for a hilarious, social party game
- ✔ Fans of social deduction games like Werewolf or The Resistance
- ✔ Anyone who wants a party game that’s genuinely funny to watch
- ✖ Not suited to groups smaller than 5 or players who want strategy

Great delivery and quality as usual.
fantastic packaging and arrived very quicky
Super speedy delivery
A great game, with short rounds, suitable for our 6 year old and even our 3 yeah old (with a bit of help). The unlock progression really helps bring in new rules and challenges, without overwhelming everyone from the very first game.
It’s not that easy finding a game that my dyslexic ADHD 10yr old son enjoys but this one ticks all his boxes! We love it!!
Fantastic price, swift delivery & EXTREMELY well packaged, which in the age of Amazon has become a forgotten art. Game arrived without a single dent or ding. Perfection & thank you.
Excellent service and packaging. Thank you, would recommend.
Great service as always!
Had a great experience with Life of Games. I got in touch with a bit of a request around my order and they were super quick to reply and really helpful.
They went out of their way to sort things for me, no hassle at all, and everything was handled quickly and smoothly. Just really nice, friendly service from start to finish.
Always good to find a shop that actually cares about its customers. Would definitely order from them again 👍
Great experience.
Customer support was outstanding, package arrived quickly and effectively
Century Golem edition is a resin of Century Spice road and as such is identical in game play. For me the brighter art work, beautiful artwork and clever box insert elevate the experience. Very enjoyable resource management/tableau builder game.
Great price. Swift despatch. Nicely packed. What's not to like?
