Oasis: New Life on a Distant World is a hand management and biome-building game for 1–5 players set on a distant exoplanet. There is no rain here — instead, superheated water erupts from beneath the surface each year, flooding the lowlands and washing away anything caught below the floodline. Over millennia, this has created a world of two distinct ecological zones, and the bizarre lifeforms that have evolved to inhabit them.
You play as the forces of nature itself, guiding the life cycles of the planet’s species to cultivate the most balanced and vibrant biome. Each round you manage a hand of cards and maximise your actions — but timing is everything. Plants and animals below the floodline are swept away at the end of each round, so knowing when to commit and when to hold back is the central tension of every game.
With a solo mode included and a play time of 45–60 minutes, Oasis sits in an accessible but strategically satisfying space — light enough for a broad audience, deep enough to reward repeated play.
What’s good?
- Unique flood mechanic creates genuine round-by-round tension around timing and positioning
- Alien biome theme with genuinely distinctive world-building — not just reskinned Earth ecology
- Scales from 1 to 5 players with a solo mode included
- 45–60 minutes — substantial enough to feel rewarding without overstaying its welcome
- Light-medium complexity makes it accessible to a wide range of players
Who is it for?
- ✔ Fans of nature and ecology themes who want something genuinely otherworldly
- ✔ Groups of 1–5 looking for a mid-weight game with strong thematic flavour
- ✔ Solo players who want a thematic, replayable challenge
- ✖ Players seeking heavy strategic depth — complexity sits firmly in the light–medium range

Great delivery and quality as usual.
fantastic packaging and arrived very quicky
Super speedy delivery
A great game, with short rounds, suitable for our 6 year old and even our 3 yeah old (with a bit of help). The unlock progression really helps bring in new rules and challenges, without overwhelming everyone from the very first game.
It’s not that easy finding a game that my dyslexic ADHD 10yr old son enjoys but this one ticks all his boxes! We love it!!
Fantastic price, swift delivery & EXTREMELY well packaged, which in the age of Amazon has become a forgotten art. Game arrived without a single dent or ding. Perfection & thank you.
Excellent service and packaging. Thank you, would recommend.
Great service as always!
Had a great experience with Life of Games. I got in touch with a bit of a request around my order and they were super quick to reply and really helpful.
They went out of their way to sort things for me, no hassle at all, and everything was handled quickly and smoothly. Just really nice, friendly service from start to finish.
Always good to find a shop that actually cares about its customers. Would definitely order from them again 👍
Great experience.
Customer support was outstanding, package arrived quickly and effectively
Century Golem edition is a resin of Century Spice road and as such is identical in game play. For me the brighter art work, beautiful artwork and clever box insert elevate the experience. Very enjoyable resource management/tableau builder game.
Great price. Swift despatch. Nicely packed. What's not to like?
