Mysterium is a cooperative deduction game where one player takes on the role of a ghost, silently communicating through illustrated vision cards, while the rest play as psychics trying to interpret the clues. Together, you must identify the culprit, location, and murder weapon before dawn — when the ghost disappears for good.

Each night, the ghost sends a hand of dream cards to each psychic — no words, no direct hints. The psychics debate what the imagery means and make their deductions. Get it right and you move closer to the truth; get it wrong and the clock ticks on. In the final round, everyone pools their knowledge for one last chance to solve the case.

What’s good?

  • Genuinely unique communication mechanic — the ghost can’t speak, only show
  • Asymmetric roles mean every player has a meaningfully different experience
  • 18 new illustrations and optimised setup in this refreshed edition
  • Scales well from 2 to 7 players without losing tension

Who is it for?

  • ✔ Groups who enjoy cooperative games with a creative, interpretive twist
  • ✔ Fans of deduction and mystery games aged 10+
  • ✔ A standout choice for game nights with mixed experience levels
  • ✖ Needs at least 2 players — not a solo game
