First Giants

First Giants is a set-collection and engine-building board game for 2–5 players in which you race to build the most prestigious prehistoric exhibition. Recruit cards representing dinosaurs, flying reptiles, and giant mammals — each with unique powers — then decide whether to keep them working for you or sacrifice their effects by displaying them in your exhibit to score points.

The tension at the heart of First Giants is a classic dilemma: the cards that score you the most points are often the ones doing the most work in your engine. Hold them too long, and a rival beats you to the finish; play them too early, and you lose the momentum that was fuelling your strategy. In each round, players compete for dig sites to secure the best recruits, spending amber and collecting sets to unlock additional advantages.

The game ends when the exhibit area fills up. Whoever has built the most valuable collection of prehistoric giants wins.
