Desperate Oasis is a two-player lane-battling card game set in the desert, where animals compete for control of life-giving oases. Over three rounds, you play animal cards to your side of a row of Oasis Cards, trying to win each one by outscoring your opponent — but the spatial rules add a twist: similar animals are drawn together, letting you manipulate card positions as well as values.

Each animal has a unique special power. Some trigger immediately; others are only revealed at the end of the round — keeping both players guessing until the last moment. Palm tree tokens let you boost card values at key moments, adding another layer of tactical decision-making to what is, on the surface, a very accessible game.
