Cosmic Encounter is a classic sci-fi negotiation game where each player commands a unique alien race with a special power that breaks the rules in its own way. No two games play out the same, thanks to the sheer variety of alien abilities and the shifting alliances that form and collapse around the table.
Players take turns launching attacks on each other's colonies, inviting others to join as allies on either side. Negotiation, bluffing, and knowing when to trust — or betray — your allies are just as important as the cards you play. The first player to establish five colonies outside their home system wins, but getting there requires diplomacy as much as strategy.
What's good?
- Every alien power fundamentally changes how you play — huge variety across games
- Negotiation and deal-making keep every player engaged even on others' turns
- Scales well from 3 to 5 players with no significant rule changes
- A genuine classic that holds up — endlessly replayable with the right group
Who is it for?
- ✔ Groups who enjoy negotiation and social deduction
- ✔ Players who want a game that feels different every time
- ✔ Fans of sci-fi themes with real strategic depth
- ✖ Players who dislike player elimination or kingmaking dynamics
Cosmic Encounter is a standalone game. Numerous expansions are available to add more alien races and game modes.

Had never heard of Life of games before but it was suggested by Shop app. What a good suggestion it was. The item arrived very well packed and in good time. The product itself is awesome and I feel was a good bargain too.
I would and have recommended already to friends.

Super speedy delivery
A great game, with short rounds, suitable for our 6 year old and even our 3 yeah old (with a bit of help). The unlock progression really helps bring in new rules and challenges, without overwhelming everyone from the very first game.
It’s not that easy finding a game that my dyslexic ADHD 10yr old son enjoys but this one ticks all his boxes! We love it!!
Fantastic price, swift delivery & EXTREMELY well packaged, which in the age of Amazon has become a forgotten art. Game arrived without a single dent or ding. Perfection & thank you.
