Compile: Main 2

Two artificial intelligences are learning to understand the world, but only one will get there first. Compile: Main 2 is a standalone card game for two players, built around a tense contest of competing Protocols, shifting control and carefully timed card effects.

Each player selects three Protocols, then uses their cards to build command lines and disrupt the opposing AI. You are working towards compiling all three of your Protocols, balancing progress on your own side with opportunities to interfere with your opponent. A promising line is never something you can simply leave unattended.

Main 2 brings twelve new Protocols to explore, giving you different combinations to test from game to game. Play it on its own with everything you need in this box, or mix its Protocols with Compile: Main 1 for more possibilities. Main 1 is not required to play.

What's good?

• A focused two-player contest: every card contributes to a direct battle over three competing command lines.
• Twelve Protocols to explore: combine three at a time and discover how their effects work together.
• Plenty of interaction: disrupt your opponent's plans while deciding where to commit your own cards.
• Standalone and compatible: start here, or combine it with Main 1 to broaden your choice of Protocols.
• Compact strategy: a small-box card game with a 20–30 minute playing time.
