Citadels Revised Edition

Citadels Revised Edition is a standalone card game of bluffing, drafting, and city-building for 2–8 players. Each round you secretly choose a character — thief, assassin, architect, warlord — and use their abilities to gather gold and construct buildings before your rivals do.

At the start of each round, the current king picks a character card first, then passes the remaining cards around the table. Once everyone has chosen secretly, characters act in numerical order — the assassin can eliminate a rival, the thief steal their gold, the wizard swap hands, and so on. On your turn you collect gold or draw building cards, then optionally build one district. Buildings cost gold equal to their value and score points at game end. The game ends when a player completes their seventh building; bonus points go to the first to finish and to anyone who builds in all five colours.
